Terms & Conditions
Estimates are a rough idea of price. They should be used as an initial GUIDE PRICE ONLY.
Estimates are our first thoughts on costs and can change when we get further infomation.
Estimates last a period of 30 days from the date printed on the document.
Once we have all the information a full detailed QUOTE will be written up and given to you in person or electronically.
Payment for fixtures and fittings (matierals) must be paid in full before work comences.
Title to any goods, supplied by the Company to the Customer shall not pass to the Customer but shall be retained by the Company until payment in full for goods/installation has been made by the Customer to the Company.
If the warranty becomes void due to the appliance not being serviced, then McConnon & Sons accepts no responsibility for this. We will contact our clients to remind them to have it serviced, but the responsibility of having it done lies with the customer.
The guarantee will become null and void if the work/materials completed/supplied by the company is:
(a) Subject to misuse or negligence.
(b) Repaired, modified or tampered with by anyone other than a company operative.
The company shall not be liable for any water damage or damage to the heating system caused by power flushing an old heating system once reasonable care has been taken in performing it's obligations. All power flushing is at the customer own own liability.
Please note that McConnon & Sons will not be held responsible for:
(a)Any leaks or damage caused by leaks on the customers’ existing pipe work caused by converting and gravity or pumped system to a mains system or refilling and mains system.
(b)Any damage to furniture that we have to move out of the way in order to carry out works. (please remove this before we start).
(c)Any damage to electrical goods that we have to move out of the way in order to carry out works. (Please remove this before we start.)
The company engineer will put dust-sheets down wherever possible but will not be held responsible for any staining on carpets Lino or wood flooring due to excess spillage from removing an old boiler or heating parts. (All carpets must be removed in all areas that we work in order to avoid this if a customer is concerned about staining. The carpets must be removed by the customer before works are carried out). It is the responsibility of the customer to remove and replace any floorboards that need to be moved in order to carry out work. McConnon & Sons will remove any wooden floorboards in order to carry out our works but we accept no responsibility for any damage caused to floorboards that we have had to remove.
If you are a tenant, you may need your landlord’s permission for an installation to be carried out. The company will assume such permission has been granted and shall have no liability for any loss or damage arising from failure to obtain such permission.
The prices specified in this agreement do not include the price of removing any dangerous waste materials such as asbestos found when carrying out the installation. If during the execution of the works, asbestos is encountered, the company reserves the right to withdraw its installation staff immediately until the site is made safe. The cost of removing asbestos is not included within the price. However, the company upon request of the customer will provide a cost for removing asbestos and will add this fee to the total quote.
